Aging Well

We all want to age well, and that might mean different things to different people. What does aging well look like, and more importantly, FEEL like to you?

To me aging well means feeling and looking my best and it means being able to do the things I want to do for as long as possible.

Here are the posts I’ve written about aging well.

I love irony, specifically this definition by Mirriam-Webster, “a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result.” Except irony is only amusing if you are in on the joke. See, last week, I received a little known beauty treatment known as “hand […]

There you are. I knew I’d find you here. Waiting for me. Like you know I could never stay away. I don’t want to come here, you know. I never do. I don’t want to need you this badly. But I do. No more excuses. I am here. And so are you. The war that […]

Back in July, I was contacted by Boombox Network and asked if I would do a review of Theraderm’s Clinical Skincare system with Peptide Hydrator. Since I’d been given a tube of Theraderm’s Anti-Aging Lip Complex at the Aiming Low Non-Conference in Atlanta the year before, and it had rapidly become my favorite lip product, […]

Getting ready for a large and important event like BlogHer takes a lot of planning. Unfortunately, sometimes large and important events that I should be planning for freak me out and shut me down. I blame perimenopause and menopause for this. Before 42, I don’t ever remember having all of this anxiety. One day it […]

Today’s review comes to you courtesy of Theraderm Skin Renewal System with Peptide Hydrator and BOOMBox Network.  Although I was supplied with the product to review, all opinions expressed in the video, and the following article, are my own. I am very picky about any products I will use on my skin, and even pickier about […]

I’m leaving on a jet plane for Chicago tomorrow to attend my third (yes, my third!) BlogHer. I attended my first BlogHer in 2011 with my daughter, Rachel. Rachel’s blog, Sandals in the Snow, is currently on hiatus due to her all-consuming job right now of raising my grandbaby. Thankfully she wasn’t too busy though […]

As several of you pointed out on my last post, if your choice really was between being bald forever, or having a beard you could never shave off, bald would seem the no-brainer. Bald can be hidden under a wig, or maybe a jaunty scarf. Beard is tougher for a woman to pull off. Unless you’re […]

Today is Day 20 of my Murad® Resurgence 30-Day experience. I received this product to try out at the BOOMBox Network Party in New York City when I attended BlogHer in August. (Click here to see the Before vlog I did 20 days ago.) The main thing I’ve noticed is how smooth my skin is […]
